Butter Benefits & Ingredients

    Shea Butter

    • Provides fatty acid content, including high levels of linoleoc & oleic acids, that balance each other out to produce a butter that is easy to absorb but doesn't leave an oily residue. Shea Butter also contains stearic, & palmitic acids. It is also linked to the tissue remodeling that's crucial for treating wounds, so Shea Butter shields wounds from environmental irritants during the healing process

    • The plant esters of Shea Butter have anti-inflammatory properties. It triggers cytokines & other inflammatory conditions (eczema, psoriasis, etc..) & cells to slow their production. It also helps minimize irritation caused by environmental factors, such as extreme temperatures or dry weather. They also help to soothe skin & relieve itching
    • Shea Butter contains significant levels of vitamins A & E, causing it to promote antioxidant activity, which in turn provides skin with anti-aging properties. It provides protection to your skin cells against free radicals that can lead to premature aging & dull skin. They also aid skin by generating healthy new cells
    • Shea Butter has a unique composition that helps clear skin of excess oil (sebum). At the same time, Shea Butter restores moisture to your skin & locks it into your epidermis, eliminating the possibility of dry or stripped skin

    Jojoba Oil

    • Jojoba oil is a humectant ingredient, this means that it works to attract water to the top layer of the skin, helping to keep the skin hydrated. This may help prevent bacterial infections, acne, & dandruff from forming

     

    • Jojoba oil contains antimicrobial and antifungal properties, though it doesn’t kill all bacterial or fungal species, it does kill certain bacteria and fungi that can cause salmonella, an E. coli infection, & candida

     

    • Jojoba oil contains natural forms of vitamin E that works with your skin as an antioxidant, meaning that it can help your skin fight oxidative stress caused by everyday exposure to pollutants & other toxins. The antioxidants may also help your body produce collagen

     

    • Although Jojoba Oil is a botanical substance, its makeup is very similar to the oil (sebum) that your body naturally produces, so your skin can't tell the difference. Jojoba Oil regulates sebum production because of its similar makeup to sebum, making it less likely to build up on your skin & clog your pores, leading to a slim chance of breakouts & acne. It sends signals to your hair & sweat follicles that your skin doesn't need additional sebum for hydration

     

    • Unlike other botanical essential oils, Jojoba Oil is typically nonirritating, & has very rare reported allergic reactions, causing the belief that it's hypoallergenic. On a molecular level, Jojoba Oil is a wax. Although it's able to be absorbed into your skin, its waxy nature allows it to create a soothing seal on the surface
